New Appointment
New Appointment

Katie McLachlan of Middlebrooks Business Recovery and Advice has been engaged to assist with placing Fife Business Services into Liquidation. The Liquidator will be appointed on 11 December 2025. The director, Catherine Maciocia, made the extremely difficult decision to close the business on 26 November 2025 and as a result the 5 employees were made redundant. Ms Maciocia is in extremely ill health and is unable to continue in running the business which has proved extremely upsetting for her and her family. The business has been trading at a loss for some time and cash reserves have depleted as a result. All employees are being supported by Middlebrooks and once the Liquidator is appointed will be able to claim for arrears of wages, notice pay, holiday pay and redundancy pay due from the Redundancy Payments Service. Middlebrooks have also been approached by another local accountants with potential job opportunities for the redundant staff and support is being provided in this regard. Every effort is also being made to support the councils and local authorities with the handover process.
